60+ LEAP SECOND SCREENING is a collaboration between 60seconds short film festival (60sec org) and Leap Second Festival (Skuddsekundfestivalen, arr. noemata). Since both festivals dealing with works of short duration and are interested in alternative viewing platforms and democratic solutions to artistic expression and public spaces we wish to cooperate and to spread this exhibition model and form of expression to new places.

At Piksel 17 we’ll screen the films virtually in public space with the piratebox technology which allows people to connect to a network router to see the exhibition on their smart devices.

Based in Amsterdam, while I lay cuddling the splinternet I adapt, engage in or initiate platforms onand
offline. I write code and texts, make internet(-ish) objects and installations, exhibit locally and
internationally, at times co-curating, from Amsterdam to Athens, from Budapest to Bruxelles in
private and (semi-)public spaces as well as on the world wide web. I also teach visual
communication and internet studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and co-organize the
Browserbased Group.
